Recurrent Training

Due to the complexity of airline training and regulatory requirements, this notice is to inform you of the new policies and procedures in regards to the Swissport Training Program. There are many regulatory compliance agreements that must be met by all agents such as OSHA, CBP, EPA, TSA, FAA, Airlines, etc. Therefore the following policies and procedure are effective immediately.

This policy is to inform you of the following:

  1. Failure to follow these policies and procedures will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  2. Recurrent training is not optional, it is mandatory.
  3. Attendance is required during scheduled training.
  4. If you are to miss the scheduled training because of an illness or LOA, all relevant documents must be provided to the Training Department (i.e. doctors note, signed LOA documents, etc.).
  5. If training lapses or expires, you will be suspended until completion during training availability.
  6. Refusal to complete any required training will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Depending on the course that needs to be completed, Recurrent Training will happen every 1, 2, and 3 years.

As an example (does not include all courses needed):

  • Aviation Security: 1 Year
  • Dangerous Goods: 2 Years
  • Human Factors: 3 Years
